I agree 100%. I am a huge fan of augury/divination/lore stuff. When I play games, I tend to fall into the explorer role and I really enjoy discovering hidden little gems and concealed information.
My focus at the moment, however, is fixing errors and getting things working. Once the stuff that we have is working better, or I get sick of fixing things and need to be creative, then we will came back to this issue and add this functionality to existing items.
If, in the course of working with items for other reasons, there is an opportunity to add this information to a particular object then I will do so. :)
